Yale Cardiovascular Research Center (YCVRC)
The Yale Cardiovascular Research Center is dedicated to improving cardiovascular health through innovative research. Our scientists are advancing the frontiers of knowledge in the physiology and diseases of the cardiovascular system, with studies encompassing fundamental molecular mechanisms through human genetics and translational breakthroughs.
The YCVRC is home to 19 laboratories and a community of more than 120 researchers and staff. Our faculty hold primary appointments in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and include physician-scientists and scientists whose work supports the Section's research, education, and clinical missions. We are dedicated to providing an outstanding training environment for the next generation of cardiovascular researchers.
The YCVRC is a unique scientific community built on a culture of collaboration. Our collaborative and collegial culture is reflected physically in our open laboratories and shared cutting-edge scientific infrastructure, as well as in our foundational research-in-progress forums where faculty and trainees benefit from the broad expertise of our investigative community and form vital collaborations. Our researchers include experts in cardiac, vascular, and stem cell biology, physiology, molecular biology, genetics, metabolism, immunology, imaging, computational biology, and cardiovascular medicine. This environment, along with our participation in the Yale Vascular Biology and Therapeutics program and integration with our Cardiovascular Medicine physicians, provides a powerful environment for discovery.
