Dr. Koenig is the world’s pre-eminent researcher in the field of religion and medicine, with over 1,000 articles and several dozen books on the subject. Trained as a psychiatrist, he is a professor at Duke, with adjunct faculty appointments at universities in Iran, China, and Saudi Arabia.
