IBIO Summer Student Programming

Students conducting summer research in Yale IBIO are welcome to join for a weekly series aimed at providing opportunities to learn foundational immunology concepts and to build community with other IBIO summer research scholars

When? June & July each summer

Who? This programming is free and open to any high school student, college student, visiting student, or postgrad who is conducting research in a Yale IBIO lab.

Programming includes:

  • Introductory lectures on foundational topics in immunology (innate immunity, adaptive immunity, translational immunology)
  • Supplementary training opportunities in key advanced techniques (flow cytometry, microscopy)
  • Opportunities to meet and network with other summer scholars and members of the IBIO department
  • Career panel with current students in biomedical research career paths (PhD, MD/PhD, MD, public health students, etc.)

IBIO Summer Student Symposium:

  • Students are invited to present their research project in a short talk format to other members of the IBIO research community at the end of each summer!
