- Can incoming students (Class of 2026) apply to the Physician Associate Program rather than join the PA Online Program?
- Incoming students are welcome to apply to Yale’s Physician Associate Program in the next admissions cycle, which opens in April.
- Will you still host immersions for PA Online students?
- Yes. The on-campus immersions will not be impacted by this decision.
- Will the decision to end the program in 2026 affect the program’s accreditation?
- We do not anticipate that the decision to end the program in 2026 will affect the program’s accreditation.
- Is there any risk students remaining in the program will not be able to graduate because the program will lose its accreditation?
- This decision is not related to accreditation. We anticipate that the program will remain accredited through the end of the program in spring 2026.
- Can graduating students still take the PANCE exam?
- Yes. Students graduating from accredited programs may take the PANCE exam.
- Can students apply to the PA Online Program in spring 2024?
- No. We are no longer accepting new applicants to the program.
- Who will support PA Online alumni?
- Yale School of Medicine’s and Yale University’s alumni office teams will continue to support Yale PA Online alumni.
- Will Yale continue the campus-based Physician Associate Program?
- Yes. The Yale Physician Assistant Online Program and Yale Physician Associate (PA) Program are two separate programs. This decision does not apply to the campus-based PA Program.
