Quantitative Neuroscience with Magnetic Resonance (QNMR) Core Center
The central role for magnetic resonance (MR) in neuroscience research continues to expand. The Quantitative Neuroscience with Magnetic Resonance (QNMR) Core Center brings together a multi-disciplinary group of neuroscientists at Yale who utilize novel magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and spectroscopy (MRS) techniques for their research. Over the last decade or so MRI and MRS methods have improved in providing functional and molecular information with high spatiotemporal resolution. Therefore MR, in conjunction with electrophysiology and optical imaging, is poised to make major contributions to quantitative neuroscience.
Goals of QNMR Core Center
- support and promote non-human research using state-of-the-art MR and related methods
- develop advanced MR, optical, and electrophysiologic technologies to provide state-of-the-art neuroimaging capabilities for the user base
- increase the access of diverse resources to promote quantitative applications of MR in the neurosciences
