YCCI Mission
The mission of the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation is to train outstanding clinical and translational scientists and to provide an effective and innovative infrastructure for clinical research that improves health outcomes for all patients.
Specifically, we seek to:
- Accelerate the evaluation and implementation of disease-related discoveries into new interventions to prevent, diagnose, and treat human disease.
- Through a series of diverse and durable local and national community partnerships, co-develop clinical research priorities and approaches that result in improved health outcomes for all members of society and mitigate inequitable health outcomes.
- Foster the science of translational research to enhance the feasibility, effectiveness, safety, and generalizability of clinical investigation.
- Continuously collaborate with other investigators, including other CTSA hubs, to develop innovative research approaches, especially including new technologies and information systems, to expand the impact of clinical research.
- Inspire and enable students, trainees, and junior faculty members from the Yale University community to succeed in clinical and translational research careers.
- Facilitate the success and integration of clinical research in Yale-New Haven Health System and Yale University Centers and Departments.
- Create a respectful, inspiring, and innovative organizational culture for staff, faculty, and trainees that is inclusive and equitable for all individuals and that continuously improves the quality of the Center’s services to the faculty and trainees of Yale University.
