The Biostatistics Shared Resource provides biostatistics support to YCC members on study design, analysis, and grant and manuscript preparation. A highly interactive team of cancer biostatisticians work collaboratively with basic, clinical, translational, and population science researchers to advance the frontiers of cancer medicine and public health.

Yale Cancer Center’s Shared Resources offer specialized technologies, expert consultation, and high-quality services to support basic, translational, clinical, and population-based cancer research. Our eight Shared Resources provide investigators with access to advanced tools and expertise that help move research forward, using a unified, collaborative approach aligned with Yale Cancer Center’s research mission.
By centralizing advanced capabilities and fostering shared use across departments, the Shared Resources expand research capacity to accelerate discovery into new strategies to prevent and treat cancer. The shared resource teams also provide educational programming and training opportunities for investigators and trainees, while prioritizing efficient, accessible, and high-quality scientific support across the cancer continuum and through broader partnerships.

Biostatistics Shared Resource Irradiator Shared Resource The Irradiator Shared Resource provides easy and reliable access to cutting-edge gamma- and x-ray irradiation technologies, services, and scientific consultations basic and translational studies of cancer.
Flow Cytometry The Flow Cytometry Shared Resource offers a comprehensive range of services for flow cytometric analysis and sorting, encompassing instrumentation, technical assistance, training, and consultation throughout Yale Cancer Center.
Yale Pathology Tissue Services The Pathology Tissue Shared Resource is a pathology-based Central Tissue Resource Lab that provides comprehensive tissue related services and material for investigators at Yale and beyond without impacting diagnostic quality, accuracy and safety in anatomic pathology.
Yale Center for Precision Cancer Modeling Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) The Yale Center for Genome Analysis is a full-service facility dedicated to providing high-throughput sequencing of DNA and RNA using state of the art technologies. The resource is open to Yale, other non-profit, and for-profit organization. YCGA is CLIA/CAP certified facility for sequencing clinical samples.
Rapid Case Ascertainment The Rapid Case Ascertainment Shared Resource facilitates population-based studies of cancer for YCC investigators, as well as outside investigators. RCA supports YCC investigators in non-therapeutic studies as well. This includes not only specimen collections, transportation, and shipment, but also assistance with chart review and patient contact studies that need administrative and research help.
Yale Center for Molecular Discovery The Yale Center for Molecular Discovery is a full-service facility specializing in high throughput assay development and screening of chemical and genomic probes, and makes available for screening a diverse collection of drug-like small molecules, as well as >300,000 compounds in diversity collections for a large-scale, unbiased screening.
