Biography

Postdoctoral Associate at the Hoon Cho Lab at the BIDS department of Yale School of Medicine 🇺🇸.

Previously, a Ph.D. student at the 0xTCG lab at the University of Victoria 🇨🇦, under the supervision of prof. Ibrahim Numanagić. Before that, a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Sarajevo and a lead software engineer at Symphony.is.

Graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Sarajevo 🇧🇦, under the supervision of prof. Adis Alihodžić.

Originally from Srebrenik, one of the few remaining strongholds of medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦.


Interested in privacy-enhancing technologies, programming languages, and securing biomedical workflows (Google Scholar).

    Research

    Overview

    Haris specializes in facilitating collaboration in privacy-sensitive biomedical workflows through the synergy of compilers and privacy-enhancing technologies. He authored Sequre, a programming framework that fosters the adoption of secure technologies in the biomedical community, and aided the development of Codon, a high-performance compiler framework for Python.
