Epic Cosmos Datathon
Join us on Monday, April 13, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., at 101 College Street, New Haven, for the Epic Cosmos Datathon, where you will explore a vast de-identified EHR database with 300 million patient records.
This event offers an opportunity to hone analytical skills, guided by subject matter experts and Epic research and development (R&D), as teams tackle compelling clinical research questions. The day features an introductory session, various work periods, and closing presentations to share your findings. Even if you aren’t able to participate in the datathon, you are welcome to view the closing presentations, which will take place from 3:30 - 5 p.m.
Note that you will need access to the Cosmos portal to participate in this event. To access the Cosmos portal, you will need to establish a Cosmos account as follows:
- First, you need to obtain Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Researcher Basic Access (RBA) by following these instructions. Note that a manager or supervisor (e.g. attending clinician) with YNHHS access must submit a request for you and it may take up to two days to process.
- Once you have RBA, you can apply for access to the Cosmos Portal by filling out this form. Note that access is not immediate and may take up to three to five days to process.
