Biography
Dr. Schafer received his anesthesiology training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he served as chief resident during his final year of training. He graduated in 2022 and joined Yale as an assistant professor of anesthesiology. His special interests include the environmental impact of anesthesia and medical simulation. He serves as the Associate Director for Simulation in Anesthesiology.
