Biography
Dr. Bryan Kerner is a distinguished board-certified Anesthesiologist, specializing in Regional Anesthesiology. With a wealth of expertise, Dr. Kerner offers a comprehensive range of anesthesia services, spanning from general to orthopedic, oncologic, plastics, obstetric, gynecologic procedures, and more. As the inaugural Director of Regional Anesthesia at Bridgeport Hospital, he spearheads a dedicated team that administers thousands of ultrasound-guided nerve blocks annually. Dr. Kerner is passionate about his work developing system-wide clinical care pathways and ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) protocols, aimed at optimizing patient outcomes in the perioperative period. Passionate about patient care, Dr. Kerner actively engages in educating both peers and the public. He has presented at numerous national conferences and was recently featured on the TV segment "Your Healthcare," where he shared expertise on anesthesia-related topics.
Dr. Kerner's academic journey includes fellowship training in regional anesthesiology at the University of Washington. He also served as an Acting Instructor of Anesthesiology at Harborview Medical Center, renowned trauma and burn care center in Seattle. Prior to this, he completed his anesthesia training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL, where he was named chief resident.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Kerner finds solace in family time, cherishing moments with his wife and three young daughters, cooking, playing tennis, traveling and indulging in his passion for snowboarding and spending time in the mountains.
