      Dr Farzana Pashankar is an accomplished pediatric hematologist oncologist, specializing in care of children with sickle cell disease and solid tumors. She is an international expert in germ cell tumors and rare tumors. Her research has focused on clinical trial development through Children's Oncology Group, and she is the Chair and Vice Chair of international trials in germ cell tumors. Dr Pashankar is Director of Pediatric Solid Tumor Program, Disease Aligned Research Team Leader for Pediatrics at Smilow Cancer Center and Director of the Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship Program. Dr Pashankar received her MBBS and MD from University of Pune, India. She trained in United Kingdom, receiving an MRCP. She subsequently did a residency at University of Iowa and fellowship at British Columbia Children's Hospital, before joining Yale in 2005.

      Dr. Puthenpura completed medical school and her pediatrics residency at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and graduated hematology/oncology fellowship from Yale in 2021. Her clinical interests include caring for pediatric and adolescent patients with brain tumors. Understanding the socioeconomic and emotional burden of cancer therapy on her patients provides the impetus for her research, which is focused on identifying and addressing outcome and survival disparities in pediatric, adolescent, and young adult cancer patients due to race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and geographic location.

      Dr. Rodwin completed her clinical fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Yale in 2020, and subsequently conducted research in childhood cancer survivorship as a Pediatric Scholar and post-doctoral fellow in the Cancer Prevention and Control T32 Program. She has also served as director of the HEROS Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinic since 2021. She looks forward to continuing her research aimed at minimizing treatment-related toxicities in childhood cancer survivors and leading the HEROS survivorship program.

      Anna, a pediatric hematology-oncology fellow at the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, combines her clinical work with research. She received her MD degree from the Medical University of Warsaw in Poland, and she is now pursuing a PhD in the Investigative Medicine Program. Her research is focusing on the genetic factors influencing the pathophysiology and patient outcomes in sickle cell anemia.
