Sanjay Aneja, MD

Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Radiology; Director of Clinical Informatics, Therapeutic Radiology; Director Medical School Clerkship, Therapeutic Radiology; Medical School Thesis Oversight, Therapeutic Radiology; Radiation Safety, Therapeutic Radiology; Assistant Cancer Center Director, Bioinformatics

I am an assistant professor within the Departments of Therapeutic Radiology (Radiation Oncology), Bioinformatics and Data Science, and Biomedical Engineering at Yale School of Medicine. Clinically, I am a radiation oncologist whose clinical practice is devoted to patients diagnosed with genitourinary and malignancies of the central nervous system. Outside of my clinical work, I lead an NIH funded research group (aneja-lab.org/) focused on the application of machine learning to improve cancer outcome prediction. Administratively, I serve as the director of clinical informatics and data science for Yale Cancer Center and direct medical student education for the Department of Therapeutic Radiology.

I am excited to be a longitudinal coach for Yale medical students. Having been a Yale medical student myself, I hope I can provide guidance to the next generation of Yale medical students. I hope to build lasting mentorship with my students that will help them succeed in their future careers. I came to Yale as a medical student and have stayed in part because of amazing mentors here at Yale.
