Why Publish with YJBM?

The manuscripts published in YJBM have been selected and edited by Yale graduate, medical, and professional students, and peer-reviewed by experts from around the world. Invitation to submit an article reflects the interest of our board - the next generation of top researchers and clinicians - selecting manuscripts we believe will be important to publish and exciting to read. The content of YJBM publications reflects the caliber of our institution, providing a platform that readers can expect to be exciting, diverse, trustworthy, and intellectually engaging. YJBM is fully Open Access (under CC BY-NC 4.0 license) and we collect no publication or submission fees, continuing our history of commitment to excellence in biological and medical research, education, and patient care since 1928.

Our focus on special topics for each issue attracts high quality reviews and research articles and provides a broader readership than smaller specialty journals. Since implementing this format in 2015, our readership, impact and quality have increased substantially and continue to grow. For increased visibility at Yale and beyond, we feature manuscripts and the issue topics in our concurrent Colloquium and Podcast series and on social media. Authors and peer reviewers are not required to have any Yale affiliation and we are always happy to consider unsolicited submissions that align with our upcoming issue focus topics.
