Meet Adam Dworkin, director of finance and administration (cardiovascular medicine), who works behind the scenes to facilitate research, patient care, and medical education.

Why did you decide to work at Yale School of Medicine (YSM)?

I was looking for a new career opportunity within health care administration and found a great fit within the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at YSM. I am honored to be part of a prestigious institution known worldwide for academics, research, and patient care.

What do you look forward to most in your role?

I look forward to partnering with all levels of YSM and Yale New Haven Health leadership to help grow the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine and service line.

What do you enjoy about your career at Yale?

I work with some of the best and brightest minds across departments and sections, in an environment that encourages creativity and exploration of new ideas.

What is the most rewarding part of your work?

While my role is mostly behind the scenes, I am proud to be a small part of providing patient care in the community and facilitating new research and medical education.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am a veteran, having served seven years as a naval officer on active duty.

What is one piece of advice you will never forget?

Take care of your people, and everything else will fall into place.
