Executive Vice Chair of Operations, Dr. Mehra Golshan, presented the Department-level commitments toward the AY22 'fourth mission' goal of creating a 'great place to work,' across the surgical sites. The proposal comes as a response to feedback shared at the September 2021 Faculty Retreat, where several requests were prioritized (see Hero image).
Several initiatives are already in-progress:
- The Department hosted its inaugural 'Night Out,' with a Happy Hour for Faculty at El Segundo.
- An on-call, midnight-snacks initiative launched over Halloween weekend with a late-night cookies delivery to each of the system hospitals
- We welcomed a new (ah-mazing) custodian to FMB (thank you, Warren!)
- YM's Epic support team joined us at a dedicated Town Hall, and laid the groundwork for Division-specific Epic training.
The optimization of meeting start times, the faculty lounge, and cell phone contacts centralization are in fact-finding phase. Watch this space ...
