Please join us in welcoming Kristen Oliveira, MD to the Yale School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Section of General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Oliveira will join the Department as an Assistant Professor and will provide coverage in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) as well as Emergency and Elective General Surgery coverage at the Chapel Street campus. In addition, Dr. Oliveira will provide General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care coverage at the Yale-New Haven Hospital campus as needed.
Dr. Oliveira received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas Texas and has spent the last year here at Yale University in our Department in the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Program. Her interest and dedication to general surgery and medical education are clearly evident to everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her. Dr. Oliveira is a remarkably skilled surgeon, an outstanding educator and an evolving researcher with an impressive publication list for a junior faculty member.
Dr. Oliveira is looking forward to continuing her work at Yale-New Haven Hospital and the Yale School of Medicine and is excited at the opportunity to begin her academic career at Yale University.
