It's the time of year to deck the halls, and indeed, we have, with the installment of our updated leadership wall at the start of the Department's Farnham Memorial Building hallway on the YSM campus. The wall features portraits and titles of Yale Surgery leaders at each of our network hospitals, Vice Chairs, Division Chiefs, and Section Chiefs; and a large map, detailing our current locations, and designed to "grow," with new locations, as the footprint expands.
The next phase of the hallway update project — initiated by Dr. Peter Gruber and the Implementation Committee, pre-COVID — will start in the new year. Plans for a special artwork installment honoring the teams that served during the COVID-19 pandemic are underway.
