Vision, Mission Statement and Values
YNHH is a world-class institution with an abundance of resources. As with any such organization of such size and caliber, it can be difficult at times to wield our resources efficiently. The individual house staff member may find it difficult to navigate towards a particular goal when surrounded by multiple departments, interests, and the daily challenges of working in healthcare, and this takes on paramount importance when the goal is patient care. Our Council seeks to assist the house staff by clearing the way for a lean, efficiently operating path towards each of your goals, including patient care, interdepartmental collaboration, research opportunities and methods, and any other avenue that the house staff wishes to pursue. Towards this end, we seek to promote and employ methodologies including evidence-based outcome measurements and root cause analyses. We also seek to function as a forum for the developmental of any interdepartmental collaboration that has these goals in mind:
