Biography
Esther Schlossberg is a Project Coordinator for InSTRIDE, where she manages research initiatives focused on substance use disorders and infectious diseases. She brings over five years of experience in public health research and program coordination, with expertise in community health, opioid overdose prevention, and supporting justice-system–involved populations.
Esther began her career with InSTRIDE as a Postgraduate Research Associate in 2020 and has since contributed to the development, coordination, and implementation of multiple studies at the intersection of substance use, infectious diseases, and health equity. Her work has included coordinating multi-site research projects, supporting community advisory boards, and fostering collaborations with community-based organizations and health systems.
Her previous professional experience includes working for the Connecticut Department of Public Health and St. Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, PA on statewide and community-based initiatives to address the opioid epidemic. She has contributed to public health campaigns aimed at reducing prescription drug misuse, supported the development of digital tools to respond to overdose, and played a key role in expanding access to naloxone through community training initiatives. Across these roles, Esther has focused on ensuring that interventions are community-driven, evidence-based, and responsive to the needs of those most affected.
Esther holds bachelor’s degrees in Public Health and Jewish Studies from Muhlenberg College. She is deeply committed to advancing public health practice and research that reduces health disparities, strengthens community resilience, and improves care for underserved and marginalized populations.
