Costantino Iadecola, M.D., serves as Director and Chair of the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY. A pioneer in neurovascular unit research, his work has significantly advanced understanding of neurovascular dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases, as well as the roles of immunity and the microbiota in stroke. With over 450 publications, he is listed among Clarivate Analytics' “Highly Cited Researchers” and has received numerous awards, including the Willis Award and the Basic Science Prize from the American Heart Association and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for Cerebral Blood Flow and Metabolism.
