Biography
Dr. Ranjit Deshpande currently holds the positions of Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Director of Transplant Anesthesiology, and Vice Chair of Finance and Strategy for the Department of Anesthesiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His medical journey commenced with a degree from BJ Medical College in Pune, India, in 2005. Dr. Deshpande advanced his specialization with a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
In 2012, Dr. Deshpande embarked on his tenure at Yale School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor and subsequently established and spearheaded the Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) program. In addition to his extensive medical training, Dr. Deshpande obtained his MBA at Yale School of Management in May 2024, showcasing his dedication to integrating medical expertise with leadership and management skills, preparing him to navigate the complexities of contemporary healthcare.
