Andrea Amabile, MD, a first–year integrated cardio–thoracic surgery resident at the Yale School of Medicine, will join the Journal of Visualized Surgery (JOVS) as a member of the editorial board for cardiac surgery.
Launched in 2015, JOVS is an international peer-reviewed journal focused on surgical innovation. Dr. Amabile will support the journal’s efforts to produce impactful contributions in the field of cardiac surgery.
Dr. Amabile is a prolific early-career scientist. He has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters, with a focus on robotic cardiac surgery and mitral valve surgery outcomes. “It's an honor to work with such experts in cardiac surgery at this stage in my career,” said Dr. Amabile.
