13 Yale Department of Psychiatry residents match into fellowships

Thirteen Yale Department of Psychiatry residents have matched into fellowships to continue their medical training.

The residents and their programs are:

Stephanie Ng, MD, Yale Child Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-3, Ng earned her MD from Baylor College of Medicine in 2014 and her BA from Princeton University, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, in 2010.

Leisel Martin-Brown, MD, Yale Child Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-3, Martin-Brown earned her MD from Yale School of Medicine in 2014 and her BS from Towson University in 2005.

Yasmeen Abdul-Karim, MD, University of South Florida, Morsani COM. A PGY-3, Abdul-Karim earned her MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2014.

Ish Bhalla, MD, Yale Law and Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-4, Bhalla earned his MD from University of Toledo College of Medicine in 2013 and his BS from Case Western Reserve University in 2007.

Karsten Heil, MD, Yale Law and Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-4, Heil earned his MD from Ruprecht-Karls-Universitat Heidelberg (Germany) in 2013.

Stephanie Yarnell, MD, PhD, Yale Law and Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-4, Yarnell earned her MD from University of Florida College of Medicine in 2013, her PhD from University of Florida College of Medicine in 2011, and her BS from University of Georgia in 2006.

Phelan Maruca-Sullivan, MD, Yale Geriatric Fellowship. A PGY-4, Maruca-Sullivan earned her MD from Boston University School of Medicine in 2013 and her BA from Georgetown University in 2006.

Rachel Katz, MD, Yale Fellowship in Quality and Patient Safety. A PGY-4, Katz earned her MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2013 and her BS from Northwestern University in 2008.

Youngsun Cho, MD, PhD, Yale Child Psychiatry Fellowship. A PGY-4, Cho earned her MD and PhD from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2013, her MS from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2009 and her BS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2005.

Emeric Bojarski, MD, MGH Child and Adolescent. A PGY-4, Bojarski earned his MD from Harvard Medical School in 2013 and his BS from McGill University in 2007.

Francesco Peluso, MD, Brown University Child and Adolescent. A PGY-4, Peluso earned his MD from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2013 and his BA from Macaulay Honors College at City University of New York in 2009.

Rachel Wurmser, MD, Columbia University Child and Adolescent. A PGY-4, Wurmser earned her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2013 and her BA from Amherst College in 2001.

Paola Ayora, MD, MPH, Montefiore Child and Adolescent. A PGY-4, Ayora earned her MPH from Yale University School of Public Health in 2004 and her MD from Yale University School of Medicine in 2004.
