Title: A New Pathology of Chronic Loneliness: Social networks, World-making and Health

Amar Dhand, MD DPhil (Oxon) is a physician social scientist at Harvard Medical school, with expertise in social networks and neurological outcomes. His goal is to understand patients in context of their social connectedness, create new methods to measure social life in patients, and apply these findings to improve clinical care.

Ian Marcus Corbin, PhD is a philosopher at Harvard Medical School, where he uses interdisciplinary methods to explore the various ways that sociality impacts human flourishing. He is writing a book on this topic for Yale University Press.
