ED-Initiated Buprenorphine Program
Through its innovative ED-Initiated Buprenorphine Program, the Yale Department of Emergency Medicine offers 24/7/365 initiation on buprenorphine for indicated patients as well as training and support for Emergency Medicine providers and trainees interested in obtaining their buprenorphine waiver, in collaboration with the Yale Program in Addiction Medicine. The ED-Initiated Buprenorphine Program is further supported by Project ASSERT and SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment).
