Yale-University of Jordan (UJ) Joint Training Program in Addiction Medicine
The Yale-UJ Joint Training Program in Addiction Medicine, with generous support from the US Embassy in Amman, aims to bilaterally share expertise and provide the opportunity of exchange between academic institutions for faculty, students, and other key stakeholders on the identification and treatment of substance use disorder while paying specific attention to cultural competency and interprofessional training.
Primary Goals:
- Exchange educational experiences, including curricular materials and assessments, between faculty from the UJ School of Pharmacy and Yale Schools of Medicine (YSM) and Public Health (YSPH) who work in addiction medicine and related fields.
- Create novel opportunities for both UJ and Yale health professions students and faculty to engage in collaborative educational and research projects.
- Provide co-mentorship to students from Yale and UJ on Addiction Medicine and Harm Reduction-related projects.
- Train final year Pharmacy Doctoral (PharmD) and Master’s Clinical (MSc) Pharmacy students from UJ in Addiction Medicine and Harm Reduction-related topics and skills.
