Dr. Elmira Esmaeilzadeh is a rheumatology fellow at Yale. She gained her medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences. She then served in underserved areas while working as a scientific researcher in rheumatology, allergy, and immunology at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Afterwards, she joined the Department of Infectious Diseases, HIV/AIDS at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, where she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow. Her research focused on the study of the humoral immune system and its role in HIV/AIDS. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale and is now continuing her fellowship in rheumatology at Yale. She is interested in precision and predictive medicine in the field of rheumatology.
