Biography

Elizabeth Znamierowski is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and lead clinician for the Yale School of Medicine Community Health Care Van mobile Mother Infant Program (MIP) at Yale Internal Medicine. Liz provides dyadic care to birthing parents and infants in the greater New Haven area, with expanded clinical focus to pregnant and parenting persons with substance use disorders. Liz has extensive experience in harm reduction, particularly with the New Haven Syringe Services Program (NHSSP). Additionally, Liz serves as the Project Director of the Crowdsourcing, Overdose, and Drug Supply (CODS) project aimed at reducing overdoses via novel Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) drug testing.

Liz is passionate about increasing access to community-based health care, childhood play and development, lactation support for new mothers, harm reduction and supporting low-income and unstably housed families. Liz is a Certified Lactation Counselor through The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice, a clinical instructor at the Yale School of Nursing and a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP).
