  • 00:16If you like to participate
  • 00:17in events,
  • 00:19we do have six walks
  • 00:20throughout Connecticut.
  • 00:22These are wonderful opportunities for
  • 00:23you to know you're not
  • 00:25alone, to come to a
  • 00:26gathering of hundreds of people
  • 00:28who care about your concern.
  • 00:30Again, we have a beautiful
  • 00:31garden,
  • 00:32ceremony
  • 00:33where you hold up a
  • 00:34flower.
  • 00:35And if you hold a
  • 00:36purple flower, it represents someone
  • 00:37who you've lost. If you're
  • 00:39holding a blue flower, it
  • 00:40represents that you're living with
  • 00:41a diagnosis.
  • 00:43If you hold a yellow
  • 00:43flower, it means that you're
  • 00:44actively caregiving. And if you
  • 00:46hold an orange flower, it's
  • 00:47because you're here for the
  • 00:48cause. So we welcome you
  • 00:50to join our walk again
  • 00:51to know you're not alone
  • 00:52and to look out upon
  • 00:54the field or the beach,
  • 00:55wherever we're host hosting our
  • 00:57walk, to know that you
  • 00:57are not alone.
  • 00:59We also have a year
  • 01:00long program called doing what
  • 01:02you love to end Alzheimer's.
  • 01:03This is an opportunity to
  • 01:05put turn your passion into
  • 01:06purpose and do some fundraising
  • 01:08about something that you may
  • 01:09love. We've had people doing
  • 01:11crafts days all day long
  • 01:12or kayaking or bicycle riding.
  • 01:14So again, many opportunities
  • 01:16to know that there's absolutely
  • 01:18things we can do to
  • 01:19make a difference with this
  • 01:20disease.
  • 01:21We also have a program
  • 01:22called Trial Match. This is
  • 01:24a clinical studies matching service,
  • 01:26again, for people living with
  • 01:27a diagnosis,
  • 01:28caregivers, and even for healthy
  • 01:30volunteers.
  • 01:32You can go online and
  • 01:33complete a profile and it
  • 01:35will match you to any
  • 01:36trial in the nation. So
  • 01:38again, this is an outbound
  • 01:39call that you then would
  • 01:40make. No one will contact
  • 01:41you.
  • 01:42We do know that we
  • 01:43need more people in clinical
  • 01:44trials to make sure that
  • 01:46we can move forward and
  • 01:47keep going towards a treatment
  • 01:49and cure.
  • 01:50Again, please know that the
  • 01:51Alzheimer's Association is here twenty
  • 01:53four seven to support your
  • 01:55needs, provide information, referral, and
  • 01:57care consultations.
