We are pleased to announce that Dr. Vicente Diaz is the winner of The Winning Pitch contest at Eyecelerator 2022, at the American Academy of Ophthalmology's annual meeting. Over 60 companies from around the world submitted innovative ideas in medical and surgical therapeutics designed to advance the field of ophthalmology. Three finalists were selected and competed in a Shark Tank style event, where they pitched their ideas to industry leaders and answered their questions. Dr. Diaz and his team have developed a drug delivery platform and are currently focused on commercializing a sustained release latanoprost wafer. The technology is based on collagen cross linking drug, as the collagen hydrolyzes the drug is released.
