Research Summary
Dr. Sheth's clinical and public health backgrounds have guided her research interests which include optimizing reproductive health awareness, access, and care among historically marginalized groups such as low income, racial and ethnic minority, immigrant and HIV-infected women in areas ranging from contraception and preventative health services to pregnancy planning and management. She has expertise in dissemination & implementation research to promote utilization of evidence-based interventions and practices in routine clinical care to advance health equity. Her current work focuses on cervical cancer prevention across the care continuum from uptake of the HPV vaccine, to increasing cervical cancer screening and follow up of abnormal results, and guideline-concordant evidence-based management locally and globally. Dr. Sheth is also committed to implementing evidenced-based practices for the prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections. Dedicated to global women's reproductive health, Dr. Sheth is also interested in quality and timeliness of care for women in resource limited settings including Nepal, Ghana, and Mexico.
