Percutaneous ethanol ablation versus thyroidectomy in patients with papillary thyroid microcarcinoma
Extensive Research Description
With the advent of new imagining technologies, here has been a significant increase of diagnosis go small papillary cancer (micro carcinoma) of the thyroid gland. We are participating with Dr. Glenda Callender from Surgery department of Yale University in a research project to see if the tumors could be treated with minimally invasive treatment methods like the injection of small amounts of medical grade alcohol under ultrasound guidance.
