Research Summary
I am interested in outcomes and trauma prevention in elderly individuals. I have additional interest in emergency general surgery including predicting outcomes and finding the most cost effective approaches to care. With respect to general surgery I have a particular interest in patient reported outcomes for emergency general surgery conditions.
Extensive Research Description
My current research involves outcomes of the critically ill as well as the less ill emergency surgical patients. This is through both retrospective and prospective local studies as well as conducting national prospective studies. I conduct national prospective observational studies through collaborations with multiple institutions.
