Research Summary
Dr. Hajduk is an epidemiologist and research methodologist whose research focus lies at the intersection of geriatric impairments and cardiovascular disease. She studies functional outcomes among older adults with heart disease and examines the influence of comorbidity burden on treatment decisions and outcomes in this population. Dr. Hajduk also serves as Deputy Director of Scientific Affairs in the Office of Student Research and Associate Director of the NIA-funded Postdoctoral Training Program in Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology & Aging-related Research at Yale.
Extensive Research Description
Current projects include:
- evaluating type 2 acute myocardial infarction in older adults as a candidate geriatric syndrome
- identifying post-discharge characteristics associated with optimal patient-centered outcomes among older adult survivors of acute myocardial infarction
- evaluating functional and cognitive sequelae of COVID-19 among older adults
- investigating drivers of physician-scientist professional identity formation among U.S. medical students
