Biography

Leah Wang is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in Child Clinical Psychology. She received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Music from Yale College. She then earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her pre- and post-doctoral fellowship training at the Yale Child Study Center.

Leah specializes in the assessment of autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities across the lifespan. She has extensive experience in early developmental and autism diagnostic assessment, as well as broader experience providing comprehensive psychological assessment, individual therapy, and parent-mediated therapy for children and adolescents. Leah currently provides neuropsychological evaluations for children and families through the Psychological Assessment Service and Developmental Disabilities Program at the Child Study Center.

Leah's research focuses on motor behavior and its interactions with other domains of development in autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities, with a particular interest in early development. She continues to actively conduct research on motor development and motor stereotypies. As a clinician and a scientist, she is passionate about using innovative, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming methods to promote understanding of and improved outcomes for people with neurodevelopmental differences.
