Biographical Info

Dr. Deepa Camenga is an Instructor of Pediatrics in the Section of Adolescent Medicine at Yale. She is board certified in pediatrics and completed her medical education and residency training at the University of Rochester, NY. Dr. Camenga completed a fellowship in health services research through the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholars Program at Yale. She attends on the medical wards at YNHH Children’s Hospital, sees patients in the Adolescent Comprehensive Care Clinic, and works with residents and students in the YNHH Primary Care Center. Dr. Camenga’s research focuses on improving primary care practices around the identification and treatment of alcohol and tobacco use disorders in adolescents; understanding adolescent nicotine dependence and its co-occurrence with substance use; and improving public health communication around existing and emerging tobacco products.
