Trainees
Postdoctoral Fellow
Nicholas is a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in the Neuroimaging Sciences Training Program. He conducts research in the Department of Psychiatry under the mentorship of Dr. Hedy Kober. Before coming to Yale, Nicholas completed his PhD at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Dr. Maital Neta. He is interested in leveraging functional imaging approaches (e.g., fMRI) to characterize patterns of brain activity and connectivity associated with clinically relevant outcomes (e.g., relapse in substance use disorders). Ultimately, his goal is to better understand treatment mechanisms and use this insight to strengthen existing treatments (e.g., cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based approaches).
