On the Violence in Ukraine

February 26, 2022
by Mark David Siegel

Hi everyone,

This morning, our thoughts go out to those under attack in Ukraine, including friends and families within our community.

The violence reminds us that we can never take peace for granted, even in modern democracies. It also reminds us that freedom and security are easily lost if not defended.

As physicians, we know that war shatters the physical and mental health of innocent people. It’s our duty to state our opposition to violence, clearly and unequivocally.

In the days ahead, let’s hold the people of Ukraine in our hearts, and let’s use our words and deeds to promote peace, here and everywhere.

Take care,

Mark
