Administrative Core

The Administrative Core provides leadership and coordination and oversees all Center activities. It emphasizes the use of proteomic studies for translational science to achieve a goal of understanding the cellular basis of Alzheimer’s disease and translating this knowledge into effective therapy. This Core also oversees a Pilot Grant Program, funding research projects focused on Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, fostering the work of young investigators beginning a career in Alzheimer’s research. Senior investigators who are new to the AD research field are also encouraged to apply.

The Administrative Core holds monthly meetings of the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center’s Executive Committee and works with an External Advisory Board to determine the policies and direction of the Center.

Leading the Administrative Core are the Directors of the Yale ADRC, Stephen M. Strittmatter, MD, PhD, and Christopher H. van Dyck, MD.
