On February 16, 2024, the Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) announced the results of the January 2024 round of awards for the department’s Clinical and Research Faculty Development Fund. This annual fund supports clinical and research faculty with a primary appointment at the YCSC. The purpose is to provide start-up funds to develop research, educational, and clinical efforts that will contribute to faculty growth and development. The awardees for this round are as follows.

- Laurie Cardona: American Psychological Association (APA) Convention in Seattle in August, where she will be a panelist for the APA Committee on Children, Youth, and Families, which she chairs
- Chelsea Morgan: International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) Conference in Melbourne Australia in May
- Carolyn Turek: Society of Pediatric Psychology Annual Conference (SPPAC) Conference in New Orleans in April
- Areti Vassilopoulos: Society of Pediatric Psychology Annual Conference (SPPAC) APA Division 54 and the American Psychological Association (APA) Annual Convention
- Angelina Vernetti: International Society for Autism Research (INSAR) Conference in Melbourne Australia in May and the Baby Siblings Research Consortium (BSRC)

Review Committee & Application Process
Following the receipt of applications for this round in January, committee members George Anderson, Declan Barry, Tara Davila, Michele Goyette-Ewing, Ellen Hoffman, Andrés Martin, Helena Rutherford, and Carla Stover discussed submitted applications. Scores from members were averaged to rank-order each application. Committee members recused themselves from reviewing any grant in which they are associated with the applicant.
Research and Clinical faculty (assistant professors, associate research scientists, associate professors in their first term, research scientists in their first term, and clinicians, including those with the title of Instructor, Assistant Clinical Professor, or Associate Clinical Professor) are eligible to apply for this funding, typically three times per year.
