Educators in academic surgery on balancing education with other responsibilities
Pediatric Surgery
Our pediatric surgeons care for a range of surgical problems in children from the most simple and correctable diseases to major congenital anomalies requiring a lifetime of care and support. Pediatric Surgeons are fully trained adult surgeons who have decided to seek additional training in children’s surgery and devote their efforts entirely to kids.
We are fortunate to have recruited some of the most talented and innovative pediatric surgeons in the country to Yale. Yale Pediatric Surgery is committed to excellence in clinical care teaching and research.
Yale is one of a select few institutions in the country certified to train pediatric surgeons. We also provide pediatric surgical experience to residents training in General Surgery at Yale. We have large and successful research programs in both clinical and basic research. Our surgeon scientists have been recognized for excellence by the National Institutes of Health and major surgical societies.
