Surgical Societies
Yale’s Department of Surgery is proud to support the missions of a growing number of national surgical societies.
We encourage our faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students to contact our institutional representatives to learn about engagement opportunities, mentorship, programming, and membership.
Participation is open to all faculty and trainees, regardless of individual identity or demographics.
Beyond the societies listed above, Yale surgical faculty and trainees are actively engaged in leadership and membership across numerous national, regional, and specialty-specific professional societies, including:
- American College of Surgeons (ACS)
- American Surgical Association
- Association for Academic Surgery (AAS)
- Halsted Society
- New England Surgical Society (NESS)
- Society of University Surgeons (SUS)
For more information or to be connected with a Yale Department of Surgery faculty member affiliated with a particular professional society, please contact Department of Surgery Chief of Staff, Cecelia Smith.
