Biography

Dr. Scott Halperin is an orthopaedic resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. He earned his MD and MHS degrees from the Yale School of Medicine. Originally from South Florida, Dr. Halperin completed his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, where he double-majored in Chemistry and Child Development and played offensive line and long snapper for the varsity football team.

Following his undergraduate education, he engaged in biochemistry research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. At Yale, Dr. Halperin had the opportunity to join the Jonathan Grauer Research Group. There he learned from many mentors including Dr. Grauer, Dr. Rubin, and Dr. Medvecky to to expand his research and clinical horizons. Dr. Halperin focussed on large database analysis to evaluate patient outcomes across various orthopaedic procedures. He has authored 40 publications with over 30 posters/presentations. His current interests include, spine and joint reconstruction.
