Biography

Julie McGarry, M.A., serves as associate director of data-driven practice on the Implementation Science team at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence. In this capacity, she investigates what it takes for RULER to succeed in schools and translates scientific findings into meaningful implications for SEL practice. She also serves as a RULER trainer and coach and leads inspirED, a free program to elevate middle and high school student voice and empower students to take an active role in improving the social and emotional climate of their schools. Previously, Julie served as associate director of high school initiatives and program manager of inspirED. Outside of her time at the Center, Julie enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking. Julie uses she/her pronouns.
