Partner with STEP to advance early psychosis care

The STEP Program works to improve access to high-quality, evidence-based, and recovery-oriented care for individuals experiencing recent-onset psychosis across Connecticut. STEP is internationally recognized for its leadership in early psychosis research, clinical care, and care model development, with its work informing practice, policy, and system design beyond Connecticut.

This work is made possible through collaboration with families, clinicians, state and community partners, trainees, and supporters.

There are many ways to engage with STEP, including partnership, learning, advocacy, and philanthropic support that helps sustain and strengthen this work.

  • Support STEP

While STEP’s work is grounded in strong public–academic partnerships, philanthropic support plays a critical role in allowing STEP to innovate, respond to emerging needs, and strengthen impact beyond what traditional funding streams alone can support.

Philanthropic investment helps ensure that STEP can continue to evolve, adapt, and serve as a model for high-quality early psychosis care.

  • National Recognition

The STEP Learning Collaborative has been featured as a promising model for improving schizophrenia care in Schizophrenia Care: A Giving Smarter Guide, a national report from the Science Philanthropy Alliance that highlights evidence-informed approaches for philanthropic investment.

This recognition reflects STEP’s role in advancing early, coordinated care for psychosis and highlights the importance of continued investment to sustain, strengthen, and scale effective models of care.
