Connecticut Health Foundation Multicultural Health Initiative Evaluation
In January 2003, the Connecticut Health Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving health though research, technical assistance and grant-making, awarded ten, three-year grants across the state to impact health disparities. As independent evaluators, we were contracted by CHF to assess the effectiveness of their Multicultural Health Initiative. Our evaluation plan consists of using quantitative and qualitative research strategies to assess short, intermediate, and long-term outcomes of the grantee programs and the Initiative as a whole. Ultimately, findings from each of these research strategies will be integrated in a final report addressing the impact of grantee programs on their agencies, their community and, where applicable, the larger healthcare system.
