Overview
Joseph Misdraji, MD, is a pathologist who specializes in evaluating diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and liver. He examines tissue and cell samples to diagnose inflammatory conditions and growths—including those arising in the appendix and liver—and collaborates with clinical teams to guide individualized treatment plans.
As an associate professor of pathology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Misdraji conducts research on improving diagnostic precision in gastrointestinal and liver pathology. He has authored numerous publications and contributed to international guidelines with the goal of advancing patient care.
Dr. Misdraji received his medical training from Massachusetts General Hospital, where he completed his residency and fellowship in cytopathology.
