Pediatric Cardiology at Yale

Our shared vision is to provide safe, sustainable, and comprehensive care to all patients with pediatric and congenital heart disease across the lifespan that combines world-class outcomes with personal, compassionate care.

We provide the complete spectrum of cardiovascular care to patients from our community, State and region. This includes the diagnosis of congenital and acquired heart disease, heart failure, as well as arrhythmias that affect children. Our faculty is expertly trained to provide state-of-the-art diagnostic tools including electrocardiography, echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology studies.

We employ minimally invasive options, including procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab, whenever possible. We have world-class congenital heart surgeons who treat all variety of congenital heart disease and manage patients in a dedicated Cardiac ICU, the only one in the State of Connecticut. Our Congenital Heart Center functions in the setting of our nationally recognized Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital.

As a major academic medical center, we educate the next generation of physicians and are one of only two sites in all of New England that provide pediatric cardiology fellowship training. We offer advanced fellowship opportunities in caring for adults with congenital heart disease.

Pediatric Cardiology at Yale has a long history of innovation in the field of congenital heart disease.
