Biography

Dr. Carla E. Marin is an Assistant Professor and licensed psychologist at the Yale Child Study Center. She is a core faculty member of the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program at the Center, where she is engaged in pediatric anxiety research, coordinates NIMH funded clinical trials, provides statistical expertise across the Program's research projects, and mentorship and supervision to undergraduate and graduate interns. She has extensive experience delivering evidence-based assessments and treatments of anxiety and related disorders in children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Marin has also been a clinical consultant to the Center's Children's Psychiatric Day Hospital since 2018.

Carla E. Marin, PhD, is a mental health specialist focusing on childhood anxiety.

Marin's research interests include school accommodations for socially anxious children, attention training as a low-intensity treatment option, and parental involvement in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for Hispanic/Latino youth with anxiety disorders. Her work also explores the effects of social functioning, diagnosis, and gender on treatment outcomes and the brain's response to threatening situations in children with anxiety.

Marin is an assistant professor at the Yale Child Study Center.
